Fair Work approves Victoria's first Multi-Employer Agreement for TAFE!

Your new Victorian TAFE PACCT Staff Multi-Employer Agreement (MEA) has been approved by the Fair Work Commission and brings to a successful conclusion our campaign for one agreement that covers the pay and working conditions of all TAFE staff in Victoria. The agreement was overwhelmingly endorsed last year by PACCT staff across Victoria, with 98% approving the deal, which delivers impressive pay rises and pay harmonisation, in addition to back pay to 1 July 2025.
NTEU TAFE delegates celebrate the new MEA with NTEu Victorian Secretary Sarah Roberts and Organiser Janet Bourke at William Angliss.
This historic agreement - the first MEA for PACCT staff in Australia - covers all PACCT (Professional, Administrative, Clerical, Computing and Technical) staff who work in the 11 stand-alone TAFE Institutes. Prior to the vote, NTEU TAFE members unanimously endorsed the MEA at a meeting on 5 November.

NTEU, with our delegates and members, has campaigned for years for one Agreement and now we've finally achieved our goal. Congratulations to all the delegates and members who've given so much to win this ground-breaking deal for staff at TAFE across Victoria.

The MEA in brief:

  • The first Multi-Employer Agreement for PACCT staff in Australia.
  • The Agreement provides back pay to 1 July 2025.
  • It provides salary harmonisation by the end of the 4-year Agreement.
